Flywheels.- In rolling mills &c. driven by a motor 4 through a shaft 2 and pinion 3 gearing with a spur-wheel 1 on the roller shaft, the flywheel 7 is independently driven, preferably through a clutch 8, by a shaft 6 and pinion 5 gearing with the wheel 1. Preferably the gear ratio of the pinion 5 is higher than that of the pinion 3.
