Abstract
262,690. Giebler, P., and Unruh & Liebig Abteilung der Peniger Maschinenfabrik und Eisengiesserei Akt.-Ges. Sept. 7, 1926. Geared motor-driven pulley-hoists ; driving- gear.-The rim d of the pulley can be rotated either with or independently of the web b. Internal teeth on the rim engage a gear h fixed to a shaft g mounted in the web. An internally toothed gear i fixed to the shaft g is engaged by a gear k on another shaft m mounted in the web which is connected by worm gearing n to the shaft p of an auxiliary electric motor q carried by the pulley and supplied with current by slip rings r. The main motor drives the web through the shaft a. In a modification the shaft of the auxiliary motor is parallel to the shaft a and is connected to the shaft g by two sets of worm gears. In another modification, the shaft g, Fig. 4, is connected by bevel gears x, the shaft wand worm wheel v to a worm u which is rotatably mounted on the shaft a. A clutch z actuated by an electromagnetic device y is provided to couple the worm u and shaft a. A stationary motor q drives the shaft a.
