Cam-actuated pumps; stroke, varying; assembling; mounting; oscillating-cylinder pumps; pipes.-A lubricating pump comprises a number of cylinders 54 mounted on ring-shaped members 2 and ocillating in guides 4, 6 so as to bring the cylinder alternately into register with the inlet and delivery ports 8, 9. The plunger 11 is carried by a crosshead 14 pressed upwards by springs 16 and actuated on the downstroke by a cam &c. 12 on the shaft 13. The stroke of the plunger is adjusted bv a screwed rod 17 operated by a head 18. The delivery pipes 60 are connected to the outlet passage 10 by a yoke 61 and screw 62, which holds a closure member 19 against the other end of the passage 10, so that the pipes 60 may be attached to either end. The annular units 1 are held together by the shaft 13 and end screws 46, and form a reservoir for the oil. 'Other units 22 carry the supports 23, and dummy units 66 may be inserted to enlarge the reservoir. A unit 29 carries an electric or other heating means.
