Abstract

269,439. Thomas, W. E., and Heap, G. Nov. 30, 1926. Spindle apparatus. -In spinning and twisting frames, the wharls A driving the bobbin tubes C, Fig. 1, are supported on ball bearings E, E' arranged between the wharl A and a supporting sleeve H secured by nuts K, M to the lifter plate L. The inner races are formed by flanges N, P on the sleeve H while the outer races are formed by a collar D and a flange S<1> on a collar T secured to the bottom of the wharl. The space V is filled with lubricant.
