Abstract
268,487. Morgan, B. F., and Morgan, H. Jan. 30, 1926. Covers for dishes and the like.-An entree dish or other covered table dish or culinary utensil has a hinged cover in one or more parts and a handle or handles applied inwards of the cover hinge or hinges so that, when the dish or utensil is being carried, the lid or cover is held closed by a levering action. The cover may be in two hinged parts a, b, as shown, hinged at a<1>, b<1> respectively, and provided with handles d, or the cover may be in one piece hinged at one side or end of the dish or utensil, another handle being provided at the opposite side or end of the dish. The extremities of the handles may serve as stops for the cover and the hinge pins may be removable to facilitate cleaning.
