335,727. Smith, T. W. Sept. 17, 1929. Heating and cooling vessels; steamers ; lids; handles.-A utensil for frying or steaming fish, meat, &c. comprises an outer casing 1, open top and bottom, an inner container 5 formed with a curved bottom 5a, and a grid 6, which is of such a shape as to leave a space between its under side and the bottom and sides of the inner receptacle and is adapted to support the articles for the cooking operation. The grid has handles 7 adapted to be turned either inwardly or to project outwardly over the edge of the vessel 5. The curved grid shown is used for frying, a flat grid being employed for straining operations, for which the vessel 5 is covered by a sliding lid.
