Alternating - current induction machines.-The rotary secondary internal member of an' asynchronous alternating- current machine comprises a solid cylindricad magnetic body adapted to provide the whole of the magnetic paths of the rotor and has longitudinal extensions projecting materially beyond the width 1-2 of the primary core, which extensions form uninterrupted end-rings x, y, the central body portion of the rotor within the primary core being provided with deep and narrow slits 3 leaving bars having the effect of a squirrel-cage. Cooling fans 4 may be provided.-
