Abstract
266,536. Lees, T. Feb. 25, 1926. Drawing - frames. - The slivers are passed up from the cans over a guard comprising a fixed plate a, Figs. 2, 4, which is mounted on the roller beam c or other part, and a second plate b hinged to the plate a and normally held at an angle to it by hinged clips i which engage the machine head. The plate a has at its inner end a channel piece d to engage under the beam c and clips e are secured to the plate a to engage the top of the beam. The plate a has cut away portions g to clear frame members of the machine and the plate b has openings j to allow movement of the starting-handle.
