Abstract

266,514. Robertson, J. Jan. 27, 1926. Fixed-abutment type; backpressure, reducing. - A rotary pump or motor comprises a rotary casing 1 with an eccentric rotor 9 touching at one point and a number of vanes 12, pivoted to one member, which have a, direct engagement with slots 11 in the other member. The fluid is admitted and discharged through hollow trunnions 2, 3 on which the casing revolves and passes to or from the working space through ports 7, 8 in fixed end plates 13, 14. Additional ports 16, 17 permit escape of fluid from the slots 11. The rotary casing 1 is supported by rollers 18.
