265,785. Buch, M. A. Feb. 20, 1926. Hoods.-A hood frame comprises a back pillar 2 to which is pivoted at 5 a bow 6 provided with forwardly-extending lugs or brackets 7, 8. The cant-rail 9 is pivoted to the bow 6 at 15 and projects rearwardly to be pivoted to an operating link 17 connected to the pillar 2. The cant-rail 9 carries. as shown, a front horizontal bow 10 and a further bow 19 is pivoted to the cant-rail at 18 and connected to the bows 10, 6 by links 20, 23. The link 23 is connected to the bow 19 preferably by means of a pin 22 and slot 24 which enables the ;frame when collapsed to be partly raised before the main pillar is raised and so facilitate the elevating of the hood.
