Stopping pipes.-A cleanout plug for a sink pipe comprises a cover 4 pivoted in lugs 1 on a plate 3 provided with a threaded hollow stud 2 which screws into the sink pipe at the water seal. The cover 4 is provided with a spherical or conical projection 5 fitting a correspondingly-shaped seat in the stud 2, a thumbnut 7 being provided for locking the plates 3, 4 together.
