Abstract

278,510. Bromley, H. H., and Sheppard, M., (Representative of Sheppard, H. L.). Sept. 21, 1926. Plates, securing pipes to; bends.-The pipe bend 2 supplying gas to a gas fire is' connected to the usual floorplate 1 by means of a coupling nut 11 , which bears on a shoulder 10 formed integral with an end sleeve 8 on the bend and engages screwthreads 6 on the hub 3 of said floor-plate. The sleeve 8 is formed with a coned surface 9 adapted to contact with a like seating 7 in the hub 3, while the flange 4 of the plate 1 is provided with screw-holes 5. The other end of the bend is provided with a back nut 12 so as to enable the usual gas-cock 13 to be fixed in any -position.
