Abstract
460,604. Supply fittings for baths &c. HUTCHISON, A., and SHEARDOWN, J. W. Aug. 20, 1935, No. 23354. [Class 26] In means for securing mixer fittings to baths &c., the taps are each connected to the wall of the bath &c. by means of a rotary chamber 8 separate from the tap and having a wall 9 at one end to fit against the wall of the bath etc.; the chamber-wall 9 has an eccentric inlet opening 10 so formed that it may be readily connected to the water-pipe and the other end of the chamber has means for fixing the tap thereto so that the chamber may be rotated with respect to the tap to bring the opening 10 into register with the pipe-openings in the wall of the bath &c. The upper end of the chamber may be formed so that the tap may be screwed thereon or it may carry a connecting-device 11. The inlet-opening 10 may have an inlet portion 13, Fig. 1, exteriorly threaded for a nut 16 and a connection 18 for a supply-pipe, or it may be screw-threaded internally, Fig. 2, to receive a pipe 13 which has an integral securing-flange 20.
