Abstract

260,853. Aberdeen, P. April 6, 1926. Keyholes, obstructing.-A device for prevent. ing a key from being turned in the keyhole comprises a shank of adjustable length with a curved tongue to grip the lock and a claw member slidably and pivotally mounted on the shank to hold the key, the claw member being held in position by a spring and by engagement with notches on the shank. The shank a comprises a screwed stem b and sleeve c whereby adjustment of length is obtainable. On the stem b is a curved tongue e and a flange f adapted to bear against and cover the keyhole. A claw member g is supported on pins h in slots i and engages one of a series of notches b<1> on the sleeve c; it is further held in position by the spring m. The head of the key passes between the forks of the claw member and is engaged by the notches k.
