Abstract
259,928. Svensson, K. J., and Norling, K. A. P. Oct. 13, 1925, [Convention date]. Removing and cleaning drums. - A cranked and bifurcated shackle g, Fig. 1, is fitted with a. split or springy cramp c which can be tightened upon the central boss b of the drum to permit easy lifting of the drum from the casing. When the drum is free of the casing, a bar j, Fig. 3, is inserted in the, bearing cavity and is used to tilt the drum over. In place of the cramp c the boss b could be provided with a single diametral hole or two diametrically opposed recesses for a pin or pins on the shackle. Drums which have no central boss b are furnished with pillars to which the shackle can be coupled by pivot pins.
