Packeting by wrapping-up.-Relates to wrapping-machines in which a package comprising a slide and shell is pushed out of a magazine and conveyed to apparatus for applying a wrapper to form an open-ended pouch, the open end of which is subsequently folded down. According to the invention, the slides are caused to assume such a position relatively to the end of the shell before engagement with the wrapper takes place, that the subsequent folding of the open end of the pouch is facilitated. As shown, a pile of packages 1 are deposited in a magazine 3, from the base of which the lowermost packet is conveyed to the folding apparatus. An adjusting element 4 pushes each shell 2 against the wall 3<a> of the magazine so that the end coincides with the end of the shell and a suitable surface is presented for subsequent operations.
