Abstract

257,935. Urbinati, M. Sept. 3, 1925, [Convention date]. Brushes; brushholders. - A rotating brush-gear for a dynamo-electric machine comprises brushes s bearing upon the vertical plane surface of the commutator c and pivoted to arms b, the other ends of the arms being pivoted to a sleeve m on the shaft a. The brush-pressure is given by the component z<1> of the centrifugal force, and this pressure may be regulated by axial movement of the sleeve m. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a), the commutator surfaces may be slightly conical, and both plane surfaces may be utilized. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
