503,726. Vacuum cleaners; bearing- supports. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 24, 1938, No. 24912. Convention date, Aug. 24, 1937. [Class 8 (i)] [Also in Group XXXIV] The nozzle of a vacuum cleaner carries rubber &c. blocks 18 at the ends, recessed to receive cups 16 housing the porous bronze bearing blocks., of the rotary agitator. The blocks are provided with axial studs 23 and with ledges 22 which retain the caps after these have been inserted by deforming the rubber. The agitator is formed with longitudinally flattened parts cut away, to receive the bristles 13.
