Abstract
253,443. Strub, O. H. Dec. 22, 1925. Building-blocks and the like.-A toy building set comprises in combination, a beam a having in an end face two intersecting, transverse slots d and having transverse pin-holes g<1> in the parts e separated bv the slots, and a tie-bar f having a tongue f<1> adapted to engage either of the slots d, the length of the tongue equalling the thickness of the parts e and the width of the tongue being equal to twice the depth of the slots, pin holes being provided in the tongue to register with those in the beam. The pin holes may be arranged in the same plane, Fig. 4, or in two separate planes, the pins g in the former case being shorter than those used in the latter case. The beams are provided with grooves b in alignment with the slots d to receive the edges of slab members. In a modification, Fig. 11, two sides of a beam are provided with stepped grooves b, b<1> the full width of which are adapted to receive the ends of diagonal ties i and the full depth the edges of slab members. Other beam members may be provided having one slot only in each end.
