Abstract

253,040. Palmborg, J. A., and Berglund, B. F. J. Feb. 22, 1926. Lateral-splash guards comprise a plate 1 having a flexible strip 2 carried by a horizontal rod 4 rotatably mounted on the wheel axle, a bent rod 7 pivotally connected to the rod 4 or parts connected thereto being connected by a spring 5 to the vehicle mud-guard 6 or other fixed part. In Fig. 1 the rod 4 and plate 1 are interconnected by -pivoted links 3 upon the ends of which bear springs 10 secured to the rod 4. In Fig. 4 the bent rod 7 is connected to extensions 11 of the links 3 and the springs 10 are dispensed with.
