Abstract

May 14, 1925, [Convention date] Stands or supports -Four jacks one for each wheel are secured to the axles and are adapted to be operated by a handwheels near the driver's seat. Each jack consists of an operating lever r 10 pivoted at 10<a>, which passes into a sleeve 1 secured to the axle 2 and containing a hollow rod 6 inside which is adjustably fastened: a rod 6a. A roller 8 in a loose yoke 7 is carried by the rod 6a. The lever 10 is actuated by means of a cable 11 connected through gearing to the hand-wheels, of which there are two so' that jacks on the same axle are operated at thesame time.
