Abstract

249,295. Hill, G. S. Feb. 26, 1925. Clip brackets, adjusting and securing. stand heads; rack stands. - A display fitting comprises in combination a support and the universal joint shown in Fig. 3 between the support and one or more clips. In Fig. 1, a clip 1 engages a supporting shelf and a spring clip 11 is provided to hold the article to be displayed. The clip has a sleeve 12 which is rotatably mounted on a spindle 10 connected to a ball-and-socket joint 8 arranged between the clips. The ball-joint consists of two halves 4, 5 of a ball the parts of which are pressed apart into engagement with a casing 8 by a spring 6 mounted on a pin 3. The fitting may form part of a standard with a base supporting a number of arms with ball the joints for the clips.
