Abstract

249,091. Soie d'Aubenton. March 11, 1925, [Convention date]. Alkali metal compounds, recovering from liquors containing organic matter. - Waste soda solutions contaminated with cellulose-like bodies and obtained in the manufacture of viscose are purified by treatment with carbon dioxide. The temperature rises which facilitates the separation of the precipitated organic bodies and on cooling after filtration crystals of sodium bicarbonate are obtained. The crystals mav be converted to carbonate and then causticized. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect.. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the abovedescribed treatment of any waste soda solution. contaminated with cellulose-like bodies. This. subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
