Turning.- In a centreless grinding-machine having a governing-wheel 5 and a grinding-wheel 2, a hood 21 covering the governing-wheel has pivoted thereon at 27 a bracket 23, adjustable about the pivot by screws 28 and carrying a slide 25 on which is mounted a bar 26 carrying diamond or other tools for trueing the wheels; the slide is traversed across the wheels, when the bar is lowered into operative position, by mech. anism driven from the shaft of the governing- wheel.
