Abstract

245,640. Morris Commercial Cars, Ltd., and Davidson, W. W. March 21, 1925. Bodies.-In motor vehicles, such as cars, vans, lorries, coaches, and omnibuses of the kind in which the body is composed of a number of separate parts which can be packed for transit and can be readily assembled, the body comprises a scuttle-dash unit complete with floor portion and adapted to be secured to the chassis, in combination with a main floor adapted to be attached to the floor of the scuttledash unit and to the chassis and side and back sections adapted to be mounted on the main floor. The scuttle-dash unit comprises uprights 3 and a skeleton framework as shown in Fig. 2 together with a floor portion 4 secured to the framework and to longitudinals 13 and a cross bar 10. The unit is secured to the dash plate 15, Fig. 3, to the chassis and by means of the transverse bar 10 to a similar transverse bar 20 on the main floor IS. upon which the side and rear sections 25, 26 of the body are mounted.
