Printing-surfaces; gripper mechanism. - The bedplates of printing-machines are provided with grippers for the sheet of paper, card, or the like to be printed, and with a clamping-device for a lithographic plate. Mounted on a shaft b adjacent and parallel to the front edge of the bedplate f is a series of grippers a of any known type, and plate-clamps c, d, the shaft being adapted to be rotated to bring the grippers or clamps into operative position. Specification 226,584 is referred to.
