Steroscopic kinematography; optical-projection apparatus. - Stationary or kinematographic stereoscopic pairs of images are projected in alternation, persistence of vision being relied upon to produce a relief effect. Stereoscopic slides may be used in a projector having two lenses, and a rotating shutter with one aperture may be centred between the lenses to unmask them in alternation, or a shutter with two or more apertures may be centred at one side of the two lenses for the same purpose. For the projection of kinematograph films, bearing respectively the left images and the right images, the images being arranged in alternate spaces, the shutters above described may be dispensed with. The images may be arranged in alternation on a singlewidth film and be projected by a single-lens projector.
