Stereoscopic kinematography.-Simultaneously exposed stereoscopic images, arranged one below another on the film, are projected simultaneously, and in superposition, by light polarized in different planes; the projected images are viewed through analyzers. As shown, the projector comprises objectives 2, 3 so cut and arranged that their axes are nearer together than the centres of the images, a gate 7 with two apertures, a partition 13 between the objectives and extending to the condenser 14, and polarizers 11, 12. Each polarizer may consist of sheets of glass arranged at an angle to the axes of the objectives, or of Iceland spar, and similar analyzers 15, 16 may be provided for each spectator. The objectives may be relatively adjustable horizontally and vertically, and the condenser may be replaced by a parabolic reflector.
