Abstract

232,116. Palmer, F. R. Sept. 30, 1924. Hand-stamps.-In hand-stamps employing a series of continuous strip rubber stamps, each rubber band 14 passes over a drum 22 mounted on a tubular spindle 17, and also over and in contact with a spindle 18 attached to side-plates 19 fixed to the spindle 17. The parts 17, 18, 19 form a unit which is removably and adjustably mounted in a holder 1 by means of a bolt 26 passing through slots 29 in the cheeks 3 of the holder, and through the spindle 17. Attached to the drums 22 are serrated adjusting discs 25, the drums being fluted to form projections 24 engaging the type bands 14. The usual hingedplate 5 is provided and is held in position by tha engagement of a tooth 8 thereon with a spring catch 9. A rubber stamping face 7 may be provided on the plate 5.
