Abstract

230,982. Longden, R. March 3, 1924. Crutches.-A crutch is provided with an extensible leg consisting of a rod 13 slidable in a tube 4 secured between the side members 1 of the crutch. The tube 4 is split at its lower end as shown at 9 and is provided with a clamp 12 to hold the rod 13 in any position. The handle 5 may be adjustable by means of a bolt 15 which is passed through holes 16 in the members 1. The extensible leg may be fitted to a crutch consisting of a single tubular upright.
