Abstract

163,509. Goodwin, A. Feb. 26, 1920. Crutches.-A folding hinged seat is adapted to be applied to, removed from, and adjusted along a walking stick or a crutch, without having to adapt the latter for the purpose. The seat member a may be pivoted to an adjustable clamp c, e and carries pivoted legs f. The seat is connected to the legs also by toggle members i, j and to the clamp o by toggle members i<1>, j<1>, while a third set of toggle members r may be provided to control the spread of the legs. The height of the seat may be adjusted by moving the clamps e, o, and by making the legs f telescopic.
