Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices jor.-A movable coil holder A for angularly adjustable variable-coupling coils &c. is a frictional fit on a spindle B which is itself a frictional fit in bearings C. Arms E fixed on one end of the spindle provide at their upper ends bearings for an operating handle F, which carries a collar G and a slotted arm H engaging a pin A<1> on the holder A. The collar G carries two arms G<1> adapted to engage a stop pin J. Angular movement of the handle F moves the holder A, by means of the arm H and pin A<1>, about the spindle B until one arm G<1> engages the pin J. Further movement of the handle F then rotates the spindle B, which carries with it the holder A, effecting a rapid adjustment. Reverse movement of the handle F now moves the holder alone by means of the arm H and pin A<1>, giving a fine adjustment within the limits of the arms G<1> and pin J. In a modification, the spindle is carried at both ends on crank arms having journals rotatable in the bearings C, and the handle F is carried through one of these journals. In another modification, the handle F is fixed to a block pivoted to the holder A and having at its lower end a slot engaged by the pear-headed end of an arm on the spindle B. The slot is so shaped as to allow angular movement of limited amplitude of the block relatively to the pear-headed arm.
