Abstract

B a r r e l hinges; attaching to articles.- Hinges for enabling the upper sash 12 of sliding windows to be turned inwardly for clearing &c. are carried by a detachable bar 18 adapted to be inserted in the pulley stile of the lower sash 11, and the outer hinge-flaps 19<b> are notched for engagement with projections 27 on the upper sash. The bar 18 is provided with projections 17 for engagement with keyhole slots 16 in plates 15 on the pulley stile. When the hinges are of multiple-flap type, the intermediate flaps 19<a> of the various hinges are connected by a strap 22.
