219,136. Metcalfe, T., and Tempest, C. H. June 8, 1923. Tool-holders.-Means for fixing a narrow cutting tool c in a lathe or like machine comprise a holding shank a having a lateral projection b which is adapted to form a tool rest and to support a bifurcated member d pivotally mounted on an axis 6, the lower inclined surface 7 of the member being pressed against the upper edge of the tool by screws g screwed through a flange on the rest b. The rest is formed with inclined surfaces and with a groove 2 to receive the tool.
