Tools; tool-holders. - A turning-tool consists of a tapered portion a of circular section and a shank b which is seated in the holder e. The cutter is normally stationary owing to the reaction of the work, but may be angularly adjusted to bring a new cutting- edge into service. A pair of such cutters may be seated side by side in the same holder.
