Abstract

239,258. Cammell, Laird, & Co., Ltd., Allan, J. M., and Carnegie, W. May 6, 1924. Tools; tool-holders.-A tool-bolder for a tool A of the type comprising a truncated cone with bevelled upper face A<1>, is provided with a conical seating C which is cut away for a distance of less than half the circumference, the tool being mounted on a. stud D and clamped by the pressure of the head F<1> of the bolt F. Alternatively, a solid cutter may be used and the stud dispensed with. The bolt F may be replaced by a setscrew through a hole in the cutter. In a modification, Fig. 5, the stud D is formed with a collar fitting the bottom of the recess and is secured by a nut.
