Tension and guiding arrangements.-A tension and guiding roller u, for use in ring spinning or doubling machines, is carried in bearings k in arms i secured to a boss l loose on a pin m, Fig. 4, secured in an arm f of a weighted lever e, f loose on a fixed spindle a, motion being limited by a lug c on a sleeve d secured to the spindle engaging a slot on the boss of the lever. The boss l is formed with lugs n through which are passed adjustable screws r or non-adjustable members adapted to act as stops by engagement of one or the other with a lug s on the arm f. A nut t screws on the end of the pin m to lock the boss l in position. By rotation of the boss l, the pulley u may be moved to an oblique position on either side of its central position, for the purpose of changing the angle of the tape-guiding pulley when changing from spinning twist-way to spinning weft-way.
