Abstract

Syringes. - The body-portion a of a vaginal syringe is bell-shaped and carries a tube b for insertion into the. vagina, the other end being closed by a removable disc c. The tube b is provided with a nozzle m and with perforations i leading to longitudinal grooves k, and is fed with liquid from the pipe d and nipple e, to which a compressible receptacle is attached. Spent liquid returns by way of the apertures o to the body-portion a, and passes out through the nipple q. The body-portion a carries a pad t supported by an indiarubber ring u to close the vagina, and to enable the pad to be adjusted to various positions the body-portion is formed externally with circumferential grooves.
