645,572. Surgical injection apparatus. JONES, F. C. Oct. 6, 1948, No. 26052. [Class 81(ii)] A douche syringe of the type in which the nozzle is slidably collapsable within a compressible bulb has the nozzle tube so constructed as to fit the neck of the bulb in a fluid tight manner when in the position of use but to leave a space between itself and the orifice in the neck when in the collapsed position having longitudinal ribs to ensure this. In the embodiment described the bulb 1 is fitted with a bush 9 and the nozzle 2 is of tapered form so as to fit the bush tightly when pulled out against the shoulder 11. The nozzle is ribbed, as at 6, and the bush 9 is preferably cemented into the neck of the bulb. Specification 432,842 is referred to.
