Abstract

206,962. Pugh, Ltd., C. H. and Bull, G. F. Sept. 6, 1922. Lawn-mowers.-A grass-edge cutter comprises a rotary cutter with blades 9 co-operating with a fixed blade 12 secured to a plate 11 attached to a handle 4. The cutter is supported on a grooved roller having tapered sides which is mounted on a shaft 2 carried by separated arms 3 secured to the handle 4. The rotary cutter is held up against a collar 7 integral with the roller by screws 8. The fixed blade 12, which is situated between the rotary cutter and the roller 1 and is provided with a strengthening flange 13, is adapted to be adjusted relatively to the rotary blades by bolts 14 secured at one end to the plate 11 and passing through a fixed plate 15. Nuts 16 situated on each side of the plate 15 may be adjusted along the bolts to position the fixed blade.
