Abstract
203,800. Rout, A. J. June 16, 1922. Spring surfaces.-A spring constructional element for use as upholstery or as a mattress comprises two similar open rigid frames a, b, cylindrical helical compression springs d arranged around their peripheries, other compression springs e and tension springs f connecting the springe e to the springs d or to the frame and to each other. The compression springs may be arranged in parallel rows, there being the same number in each row, and the tension springs f are preferably arranged as shown in Fig. 2. An additional frame c carrying a second set of springs may be provided, while laths q may extend between the superposed springs. Specification 203,999 is referred to.
