Cleaning internally, non-rotary appliances for. - A cleaning tool for boiler and like tubes comprises a spindle 7, Fig. 1, on which are mounted a member 5, shown separately in Fig. 2, rockable about a central pivot 9 on the spindle, and a member 6 shown in Fig. 3, slidable along the spindle, the two members having coacting cam surfaces 15, 16 by which the forward and rear cutting edges of the members are radially adjusted as the spindle is passed to and fro through the tube. The members 5, 6 are semi-cylindrical, the former pivoting about an axis 9 secured to the spindle, and the latter guided along the spindle by collars 13, 14 at.its ends. As the tool is pushed forward by the shaft 19, the member 6 is retarded by friction and the forward cutting edges 16<a> are pushed diametrically apart to contact with the tube. The amount 'of relative movement between the two members may be adjusted by interposing washers 18 of various thicknesses between the collars 13, 14 and the collar 8 into which the ends 7 of the spindle are screwed. On pulling back the shaft 19, the rear edges 17 come into operation, the shaft 19 being partially turned after a passage through the tube.
