Abstract
200,483. Galaup, O. July 4, 1922, [Convention date]. Electrically - actuated valves; fluid - actuated valves.-A valve 18 interposed between a gas inlet 2 and a suction fan 1 is actuated by an electromagnet 4 so as to open rapidly when the fan starts and to close when the fan stops so as to prevent escape of gas. The core 3 of the electromagnet is on a spindle 5 which is adapted to strike the spindle 19 of the valve 18. The spindle 19 is secured to a corrugated diaphragm 12 and carries at its inner end a plate 19. Air is admitted through apertures 22 controlled by an adjustable ported ring 23.
