Abstract
567,894. Float valves. SUTTON, C. J. July 10, 1944, No. 9366/43. [Class 135] A float - actuated cistern supply valve has a reciprocating valve guided by a discharge pipe secured to the valve member. As shown ir the Figure, a valve head C coacts with an out wardly bevelled seat E and is carried by a dis charge pipe D provided with inlet ports d<1> and slidably mounted in the casing A. The valve if actuated by an annular float E guided by the discharge pipe and coupled by links G, G<1> and levers H, H<1> to a flange J on the discharge pipe. The inlet is fitted with a flow-regulating device comprising a hollow shell F with a central inlet opening f<1> and a number of spaced outlet openings f<2>.
