Abstract

Workmen's cans. - A tea or like can has a removable cover or bottom to enable the interior to be cleansed, and is provided with venting- means to facilitate drinking therefrom. Fig. 1 shows a can of oval or other convenient section with a removable top adapted to fit over the body and held in place by wing-nuts connecting its flange with the flange 2 of the body, a washer 5 being interposed to give a tight joint. The top may, however, fit entirely within the lip 3 of the wall of the body. The venting-means comprises a tube 12 open to the air at the upper end and having a spring-controlled ball inlet-valve at the lower end. In the form shown in Fig. 4 the bottom 11 is removable and a curved venting tube 12, equipped with a valve as above, is provided. The cans have removable covering cups 10 secured in place over the stoppers 9.
