Abstract

Manure distributors consist of receptacles 1 provided with a number of outlets 3 that may all be opened to supply the manure broadcast or that may be closed by caps 21 with the exception of three from which manure falls into three detachable symmetrically arranged pipes 18, 19, 20, these pipes being laterally adjustable. The manure, which is of a semi-solid nature is forced through the outlets by star-wheels 4 that are operated by bevel-gear from a transverse shaft 5 driven at an adjustable rate of speed from a gear-wheel 16 on the axle 17 of the machine. Guards 6 are fitted round the star-wheels. A detachable partition 32 may be inserted in the receptacle. The delivery pipes 18, 19, 20, pass through guides 24 connected by rods 34 and pivoted by detachable bars 35 on the axle 17. These guides may be raised, causing the outer pipes to move their delivery ends further apart, by winding up their supporting chains 25 on a drum 26 which is operated by a lever 31, and ratchet 29.
