Abstract

194,657. Bliss, H. R. March 7, 1922, [Convention date]. Boxes made from special blanks. - A fibre board &c. packing case comprises a main blank forming the bottom a, two side walls b, c, and cover flaps d, e, and two separate end blanks f, g, each having shallow flanges m which are permanently secured to the bottom and side walls so that the end walls are flush with the edges of the main blank. The flanges m are preferably fastened to the bottom and side walls by metal stitches clinched on the inside of the case. The cover flaps d, e, are overlapped and secured to the flanges m by metal stitching, also clinched on the inside, such clinching being permitted by adjusting the sequence in which the stitching is performed.
