Electromagnetic interrupters.-In an electric horn in which the interrupter-contact-points 10, 11 are operated by one end of a spring-controlled rod 4, the other end of which bears against or is attached to the armature 7 of the operating electromagnet 1, the contact points 10, 11 are carried by an arm or plate 9 which is adjustable relatively to the rod 4. In the example shown, the member 9 is pivoted to bridge-pieces 2 carrying the magnet 1 and is adjustable by means of a screw 20 and spring 22, thus affording means for varying the distance between the contacts 10, 11 and the end of the rod 4, and so varying the frequency of the interruptions. The screw-adjustment apparatus for the pivoted member 9 and for the interrupter blade 11 may comprise. U-shaped members 21, 18 of the kind described in Specification 185,598. Specification 187,531 is also referred to.
