Brewing; spirits. - Apparatus for the extraction of wort from malt in breweries, d i s t i lleries, &c. consists of a cylindrical vat e containing two removable perforated partitions f, g, wbich may be covered with fabric or other filtering- material, and are preferably p r o - vided at their lower ends with a rnbber fitting. A bar i holds the upper ends of the partitions. The vat is provided with bottom discharge openings. The sucrated malt is placed between the partitions f, g, and the w o r t filters through to the e outlet pipes u, s. W h e necessary, water is admitted through the pipe t.
