Abstract

189,268. Sparkes, M. Sept. 8, 1921. Wood, treating with liquids and gases.-The surface is treated with a solution of gallic acid, pyrogallic acid, tannic acid, copper sulphate, or ferrous sulphate, or with a solution of copper sulphate and one of the foregoing acids, or of copper sulphate and ferrous sulphate, it is then dried and treated with ammonia, either gaseous or in solution.
